The Innovative Shift in Generative AI

Introduction

Artificial intelligence (AI) has come a long way. It started as a cool idea, and now it's a powerful tool that helps solve tough problems in business.

AI has been around for a long time, but using it to solve business problems used to be hard and expensive. You needed to have your own AI experts, find and train the models, get the right data for training the models, and build the necessary infrastructure for training. All of this was not only expensive but also took a lot of time.

How using AI has changed

But now, things have changed a lot. Big companies have made it easier to use AI models through simple tools and interfaces. Other big companies have also made these models easy to use for everyone, not just businesses. This has made it easier to build AI applications to solve business problems.

But with all the progress in AI, there have been some concerns. Some people are worried about what AI can do and how it might be misused. AI companies have been accused of using public information to make money, which raises questions about what's right and wrong.

Nowadays, you can create fully working web applications by just describing what they should do. Complex tasks like managing orders from CRM ( Customer Relationship Manager) and ERP ( Enterprise Resource Planning ) systems can be automated more easily with AI.

Everything looks great on paper, but are there any concerns?

But like any new technology, there are concerns about using AI, especially when using large language models. It's important to have good rules in place to protect businesses from potential legal problems, like copyright issues or offensive applications created using AI.

AI models can learn and increase biases present in the data they are trained on, which can lead to potential biases in the AI's output. AI models work off of complex math models and datasets are hidden from humans, which makes it hard to see how they come up with their answers.

Relying too much on AI models for decision-making or getting information can lead to mistakes or things being overlooked.

Despite these concerns, businesses should really look into what AI can do.

They should start with a small test, but the first step is getting AI into your system. A private one is what I recommend so you don't have data leaks in the future or any problems related to that. By having good supervision and execution, businesses can benefit from the advantages of using this technology.

Conclusion

As we look ahead, the potential of AI is undeniable. It's a tool that can revolutionize the way we do business, making processes faster and more efficient. However, it's crucial to approach it with caution, understanding its limitations and potential risks.

By starting small, testing thoroughly, and ensuring good supervision, businesses can harness the power of AI while mitigating potential drawbacks. The future of AI is here, and it's up to us to navigate it wisely.
